The Star of Antonina
The Star of Antonina is the oldest Lodge of the state of Parana, Brazil. It was created in 1869.
The brothers of the lodge were buying slaves to give them freedom. It was a democratic and unique act in history of Freemasonry. Slavery was abolished in Parana only in 1888.
The star of Antonina still exists and the Venerable Master Abilio tells us this incredible story.
Freemasonry is very discreet in Brazil. Discretion reflecting respect for Masonic regulations.
